Things Cats Hates The Most.
If you are a cat owner you might know that sometimes their behavior is just misunderstood. In this article, we will discuss 5 things your cats hate the most.
1. High pitched sounds
Cats hate sudden loud noises and can be very frightening for them. Loud noises can cause several behavioral and health issues, including skittishness, aggression, or depression. High-pitched noises to cats can come in ways you would not expect. Loud music, hairdryers, vacuum cleaners, are some of the high-pitched sounds that cats hate.
2. Spoiled Food
You may think that dry or wet food lasts for several days, but it doesn’t. Cats will eat fresh food that is newly opened. But they won’t touch it after that. Bacteria such as Salmonella and Staphylococcus can grow in food that’s been exposed for too long, especially in the warmer months. Whenever you’re serving up your kitty’s meals, be sure to check the expiration dates on both wet and dry food.
3. Dirty Litter box
Litter boxes should be scooped at least once or twice a day, and it’s even better if you can get to it as soon as your cat has finished his/her business. There are self-cleaning litter boxes available that use a sensor to tell when a cat has entered and then left the litter box. If the box is not clean, they will try to hold it in, and that’s where the problem begins. Holding waste in for prolonged periods of time is bad for your cat’s kidney and bladder health. It can cause urinary tract infections, bladder infections, and even kidney problems.
4. Bathe
Cats are fastidious animals that spend a great deal of their day grooming themselves. Wet fur is extremely uncomfortable for a cat and often takes a long time to dry. Wet fur is also heavier than dry and thus makes a cat less nimble and easier for predators to catch. Cats don’t usually need baths, but there are some exceptional circumstances. If they’re rolled in something that they can’t wash off themselves, or they have long hair which has become matted, a bath might be a good idea. Most cats really dislike baths and they can find the experience very stressful.
5. Citrus Smells
Cats have an extremely sensitive sense of smell and as citrus fruits are very aromatic, Cats hate the strong smell of citrus, in particular oranges. This is because their smell is so powerful that this citrus smell is many times stronger to them than us. To us humans, it is detectable, obviously. But, to a cat, it smells unbelievably strong.
